The Monument awards gala presented by the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association and the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association was held on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the new Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor. A unique panel of 50 judges made-up of real estate professionals visited the Fontaine at President's Park and Shenandoah to review the new homes and communities. The judges considered elements such as floor plan innovations, balance of design, exterior curb appeal and customer feedback on the models and communities.

2008 Monument Awards recognition:

Award: WINNER
The Winner in the Active Adult Housing category of homes priced over $550,000 was the Windham model at Shenandoah, part of the Artistry Collection™ by Winchester Homes. The Windham model offers over 2,500 square feet of luxury single-level living space with 2 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. The Windham model is part of the Vineyard Series of single-family homes.
